John Isner is great

Despite lost in the third round of the U.S. Open to Roger Federer on Saturday but John Isner the 22-year-old American wildcard could not remember having a better time. It looks like Federer has to struggle more before beat him for 6-7 6-2 6-4 6-2 on Arthur Ashe Stadium court. Federer is defending champion.

Isner, who registered a 140 mph serve against Federer, has been an instant hit on tour, reaching the final this summer in Washington where he won five matches -- all in final set tiebreaks -- before falling to Andy Roddick in the final.

Isner said playing Federer was a learning experience.

Djokovic past De Porto

Third seed and 3 world Novak Djokovic of Serbia stormed into the fourth round of the U.S. Open on Sunday by sweeping past Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina 6-1 6-3 6-4. Djokovic fired a forehand that handcuffed Del Potro at the net to end the one hour, 42-minute match and advance to the round-of-16 against another Argentine, 23rd seed Juan Monaco.Monaco beat Agustin Calleri 7-6 6-2 6-4 in his third-round match.

The easy victory in Djokovic's first match on Arthur Ashe Stadium court was in sharp contrast to his five-set marathon victory over Czech Radek Stepanek in the second round.
Djokovic landed 74 percent of his first serves including seven aces and was broken only once by 18-year-old Del Potro.
